If your talking of public auction's as shown on tv, as in say Bargain Hunt., or Flog it. If the item is not sold there is no charge, but if sold there is a commission charge by the auction house, plus vat to be added at 17.5%. The auction house charges differ, anything form 10 to 20% commission. Takes a hefty slice of what you get for your item. This amount is also taken from the buyer. Q. I am interested in looking at some foreclosed houses and seeing the auctions. Dos anyone know where I can find a free list of foreclosure homes with open house and auction dates. The reason it's hard to find a list is because foreclosures are different in every state and every county. What you can do is contact your county courthouse and ask them about the foreclosure auctions. If they don't have the information they should be able to point you in the right direction.
